The Importance of Puppy Training...
While puppies are undoubtedly adorable and fluffy, they unfortunately don't stay that way forever. Our cute little puppies grow up into adult dogs in what seems like no time at all. And while some behaviors that puppies display can seem quite cute at first, as our puppies grow up, if not dealt with, some of those same behaviors that initially appeared cute may start to become problematic.

So why is puppy training so important?

Well, just like people, young puppies have multiple critical development periods when they are young. Within these periods, it's very important to do things like socialization and basic training. Not doing these things early not only makes them more difficult down the road, but can and often will lead to behavior problems in the future.

The other aspect that we emphasize with puppy training is simply that it's easier to stop problems before they occur rather than trying to "fit it" after your dog has already developed a bad habit.

You and your dog have will have many years ahead of you. Enjoy the puppy period, but don't forget to teach your dog the rules and skills that they will need to be happy and fulfilled once they grow up.
